Who are we?

ScriptEast is a creative writing group based in Norwich. We’re a supportive, friendly bunch of like-minded creatives with a passion for writing scripts and stories. We love everything from cinema and TV to theatre and novels, and everything else in between.

What do we do?

We run monthly creative writing workshops. Founded in 2006, the group focuses on all genres – cinema, TV, radio, theatre or writing novels or short stories.

The workshops are led by Lynsey White, an experienced creative writing tutor. Lynsey has won two international awards for her short stories, including the prestigious Bridport Prize.

Come and join us

We always welcome new members regardless of your qualifications or experience. You don’t need to come prepared with a piece of writing to share – if you’re not ready to – but you will be encouraged to share something you’ve created as you spend more time with us.

So perhaps you’d like to learn more about creative writing, practice your own writing, gain inspiration from others, or get feedback on your work? Maybe you’d like to step away from that computer screen and socialise with other writers in the Norwich area?
